Single side printed circuit board (PCB) was a product developed in the United States with the emergence of transistors in the early 1950s. The main production method was the direct etching method of copper foil at that time. In the 1953~1955 year, Japan used imported copper foil for the first time to make paper phenolic copper foil substrate and widely used in radio. In 1956, after the emergence of professional manufacturers of printed circuit boards in Japan, the technology of single panel manufacturing developed rapidly. In the material aspect, the paper was mainly based on the paper phenolic aldehyde copper foil, but because of the low electrical insulation of the phenolic material, poor heat resistance and distortion of the welding, the paper has been developed in succession, such as paper ring gas resin, glass fiber epoxy resin and so on.
